Thank you to our generous sponsorsThe Challenge is well known for a lot of reasons and a biggie is affordability. Family friendliness and broad appeal are also in the mix. Keeping it affordable is the hardest part of putting on the PBC. With every aspect building an event like this getting more and more expensive, we'd be lost without our sponsors. When the price goes up, you can lose some of the charm that people love. We strive to keep the magic going
Please thank our sponsors every chance you get.
It's easy. Just say, "thanks for helping Pilot Butte." There are several types of sponsors and all are needed. A new one this year is bigger businesses that match smaller donations. For example, Rebound Physical Therapy is matching all donations up to $500. When that is used up, another company will come in. The fact that the PBC helps improve the park is a big part of why people love it.
Other sponsors provide goods and services for free or at a greatly discounted price. Deschutes Brewery is supplying the beer and Pizza Mondo is supplying the main course. You'll notice a lot of others as well. The company(s) supplying the shuttles also help us contain costs as do many other.s Technical help is also much appreciated. Superfit Productions does so much to keep the PBC going and Rebound Physical Therapy provides a lot of support. This year we introduced teams to the PBC for the first time. When a company sponsors a team by making a donation, it helps the team and it also helps Pilot Butte. It gets them directly involved in the fun too. Cascadia Vehicle Tents (CVT) became the first team sponsor this year. In the future we would like to have sponsors lined up in advance to support the teams.. Individual donors help a lot to, Can you believe that over 25 percent of people who register for the PBC also make a donation? That shows you why keeping fees down is important. Ultimately it's the connection that are made that make such a big difference at Pilot Butte. Just look at what happened last time. About $1,000 in proceeds from the 2015 PBC produced well over $5,000 in park improvements. With matching donations this year, that ratio could double. Money is needed but connections stretch the money to get a lot more done. |
